Professional window cleaners use one simple mixture: a small amount of dish soap – the kind you use to hand-wash dishes – in a window washing bucket mixed with clean water. That is it. You need a water-fed pole system – deionized water that leaves no mineral residue as it dries. This is what professionals use for upper-story windows. Without a water-fed pole, you are just moving the dirt around on the second floor. A garden hose with a window cleaning attachment is better than nothing, but it will not give you the streak-free result you are looking for.
